Didnt Re-Edit Yet

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies Blog. Today I will be talking to you about how we still didn’t re-film or re-edit yet. I haven’t began filming or  reshooting  yet. I planned to film last weekend but it ended up being canceled. Due to the corona virus going around, my mom has become more strict about who comes in and out of our house. School has also been canceled physically until April 15th but is predicted to stay closed for the rest of the year. My partner and I are unsure of when we will be able to film again. We hope it will be soon. Until then, I will review the storyboard and sound script. I will also review the shooting script.
I will review the shooting script to make sure all the scenes are shot properly. This will also ensure that we have all the proper shooting movements and angles. The sound script will ensure that all of our actors use the correct lines. It will also ensure that the correct audios and types of sounds such as digetic and non digetic are used. The story board will help us film the scenes properly. It will also help us remember the different scenes and the development of the sequence. My partner and I are not yet sure when we are going to re-film and edit. We may decide to use what we have since we are getting closer to the deadline. We want to have enough time to finish our film. We also want to be able to edit all our scenes soon. Thank you for tuning into my blog.

Didn’t Re-film yet

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies Blog. Today I will be discussing my re-filming process. I was actually not able to begin re-filming with my partner yet. I decided that we can’t re-film this weekend seeing that I have work. I will probably begin filming again  next week or over spring break. The filming process went pretty well the first tune around. One thing we have to work on is the acting. During our re-shoot the actors should be more serious. This way, the acting will be more efficient and believable. Our movie will be improved with better acting.
When I begin filming again I will follow the scenes from our first filming. The scenes will be fixed properly and more efficiently. I will also to edit more efficiently to fix any flaws to the sequence. I will also follow the shooting schedule. This will help me check off all the movements and shots I have to film. The sound script will also be followed. This is so we have the right type of sounds in our sequence. All of this will help my filming process. I didn’t re-film this week because I had to work. Thank you for go tuning into my blog!

Filming and Editing Blog

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies blog. Today I will be discussing my filming process. Last week, three people came over to my house to start filming. I asked my partner to bring food coloring. I used this food coloring to replace the fake blood we needed. When my partner arrived, I smeared red food coloring across a large knife. I realized that the food coloring stained skin so I decided not to use it on my little sisters. After preparing the props, I got ready to film. Firstly, I took an establishing shot of my front door wide open. This shot helped to set the scene and introduce the main character.
I introduced the main character with a pan. The pan also introduced the audience to the bloody prop. Filming the prop helped further the development of the movie's plot. I filmed all of the scenes on my  Iphone 11, therefore the quality would be HD. I used the storyboard to go through the different scenes in our opening sequence. This helped the filming process to be more organized and to match the sound and shooting script. In order to edit, I used iMovie. I was able to find a Royalty free sound online to use throughout the movie. I also used iMovie sound effects to enhance the clips. After I finished editing, I exported the movie. Thank you for tuning into my blog today!

Peer Review

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies Blog. Today, I will be reflecting on the peer review we were assigned in class. The peer review was assigned to my partner and I on Monday. That day, a group of three girls reviewed my opening sequence. They watched the sequence on my phone. Though I filmed the sequence the prior Saturday and edited it on Sunday, the sequence had many of the requirements listed on the peer review sheet. The peer review was a little awkward, maybe because I’m naturally an awkward person, but they gave us good feedback. I answered questions such as what kind of shot one of the scenes were or “what was a digetic sound again”. After, they watched the sequence a few times, they went back to their seats. Next, I went to check who we were assigned to peer review.
Our teacher posted a sheet on the board with all the names of who was reviewing who. When I went up to the board, I learned that my partner and I were assigned to a girl named Chelsea. I thought I knew who this girl was but I was pretty sure she was absent in class. I turned out to be right so for the rest of the class period I went over my opening sequence with my partner. We planned for our next reshoot.  Today is Thursday, Chelsea was not here during the beginning of the class so when we arrived I worked on another assignment. When she came to class, she explained to us that she did not get to export her scenes to the computer. This meant that we couldn’t complete the peer review today. In conclusion, we didn’t get to peer review our partner on Monday or today. Thanks for tuning into my blog!
