Filming on Saturday

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies Blog. As I mentioned in my previous blog, I wasn’t able to film last weekend. Because of this my partner and I did not start the filming process.
I also did not start the editing process. I have planned to begin filming this weekend. I was not able to start filming because I had to call into work. My partner was also busy with schoolwork. We will begin filming scenes and we will also do retakes. My partner will be coming to my house in order to film. My other actors will come to my house as well.
I will also be starting the editing process this weekend. In order to edit we will follow the shooting script. We will also follow the sound script as a guideline for our opening sequence. I will personally make sure that all shots and camera angles/ movements match up. Tomorrow, I will purchase the props we need. One prop I will be purchasing is the fake blood. I  need this because my actors  will have to play dead for the sequence. I will film on Saturday and edit on Sunday. Thankyou for tuning into my Aice media studies blog!

Didn’t get to Edit

Hi, welcome back to my AICE media studies blog. Today I will be discussing the editing process of my partner and I’s opening sequence. As you recall from my last blog, my partner and I were not able to start the filming process. I actually planned to start filming scenes this weekend. Since I wasn’t able to start filming, we weren’t able to begin editing. If everything goes according to plan this weekend we will begin filming. Once we film, we will also begin to edit scenes. We will edit and film scenes in time to have them peer-reviewed. These peer reviews will be done in class. Our other classmates will watch our opening sequence and give us feedback.
There were more than one reasons why we didn’t begin filming last week or the week before. As mentioned in my previous blog, I had to  work both weekends. My partner also has homework and prior plans. It was also a very rainy week. Because we didn’t start filming, we also could not edit. I  will begin to edit this weekend. This will happen after I finish filming the needed scenes. I will present the filmed scenes during our peer review. These scenes will be edited. Thank you for tuning into my blog!

Didnt get to film

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies blog. Toda y, I will be discussing my filming process. As hinted by the title, I have not been able to begin filming with my partner yet. I planned to begin filming during the weekend that recently passed. These dates included the 15th-16th. Instead I was called into work on both days. Because of this I failed to start filming over the weekend. Between the rain, working, and homework, neither my partner nor I had time to get together and film this past weekend. We both decided that we would plan again for another date. During my spare time, I went over the storyboard to ensure the filming process would go smoothly when we started. I need to get  few more materials for our filming process.
During this week, I will get more of the makeup and simple costumes we need for filming. I will also provide the fake blood that will be used throughout our sequence. I spoke to my partner and asked if we can film next weekend. This weekend I'll be working again so I know I wont have the time. We'll also edit next weekend. When we do film, I will be filming on my phone. I rather film from my phone because the cameras come out blurry but my iPhone 11 can film in HD. I want our filming to be as clear as possible. Hopefully then it can look neater. Thanks for tuning into my blog, have a great day!

Planning: Storyboard

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies blog. This blog will feature my storyboard. The storyboard is essential to my partner and I’s filming process.  The storyboard outlines our opening sequence. This outline includes a detailed description and picture of each scene. This also includes the different tracking shots and movements of the scenes. Every scene is essential to the storyboard. While filming, This will guide us if we’re ever confused. It will also help us to remember the he different scenes. Thankyou for tuning into my

Planning: Title design

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies blog. This blog features the title design plans of my partner and I. The title design is crucial to the editing and filming of our opening sequence. This is because titles are an important part of movies and therefore must compliment them. Because of this, my partner and I had to find a font and color that would match and compliment our opening sequence and it’s genre. The title design will be used for several different things. This will include the names of actors and participants in the movie. It will also include the name of the movie and other elements. The font we have chosen will add to the suspense of our film. Thank you for tuning into my blog, have a great day!

Planning: Location, Participants, Health, and Schedule

Welcome back to my AICE Media Studies Blog. The blog above is another planning blog. This is also essential to the success and completion of my opening sequence. This slideshow includes the location, participants, health/safety precautions, and schedule that will be used throughout the creation of this sequence. Each component of the slideshow is needed for our filming and editing process. The location of the film highlights where our movie will be created and what location the audience sees throughout the movie. The participants highlight all the actors and everyone who helped out with the movie. The health and safety precautions ensure the safety of all individuals involved in the filming process. The schedule is a reasonable guideline that allows us to plan ahead. The slideshow is featured above.

Planning: Shooting Script

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies Blog. This blog will
be featuring another essential key to my opening sequence. This key is my shooting script. The shooting script features every scene of my sequence. These scenes include the lighting, camera angles, shots, and movements of the different scenes. This helps my partner and I in planning out the sequence. It also gives us a guide to follow while filming. This guide will keep us organized and save us time. The shooting script is an essential key to the filming process. The shooting script is featured below.

Planning: Sound Scripts

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies blog. In this blog, you will be viewing the sound script for my partner and I's opening sequence. As noted, the attachment can be found above. In my sound script, I planned out the dialogue and non-digetic sounds that will be featured throughout our opening sequence. There are 10 different scenes throughout the sequence and each scene features different sounds and dialogue. This sound script will support us throughout the making of our opening sequence. It will be used as a guide throughout our filming process. This will assist in filming different scenes and staying on track with the sound of the film. This makes the sound script an important part of our filming/movie process. The script will also guide the actors, letting them know what to say/what scene to say it in. Thankyou for tuning into my sound script blog, have a great day.
