Peer Review

Hi, welcome back to my AICE Media Studies Blog. Today, I will be reflecting on the peer review we were assigned in class. The peer review was assigned to my partner and I on Monday. That day, a group of three girls reviewed my opening sequence. They watched the sequence on my phone. Though I filmed the sequence the prior Saturday and edited it on Sunday, the sequence had many of the requirements listed on the peer review sheet. The peer review was a little awkward, maybe because I’m naturally an awkward person, but they gave us good feedback. I answered questions such as what kind of shot one of the scenes were or “what was a digetic sound again”. After, they watched the sequence a few times, they went back to their seats. Next, I went to check who we were assigned to peer review.
Our teacher posted a sheet on the board with all the names of who was reviewing who. When I went up to the board, I learned that my partner and I were assigned to a girl named Chelsea. I thought I knew who this girl was but I was pretty sure she was absent in class. I turned out to be right so for the rest of the class period I went over my opening sequence with my partner. We planned for our next reshoot.  Today is Thursday, Chelsea was not here during the beginning of the class so when we arrived I worked on another assignment. When she came to class, she explained to us that she did not get to export her scenes to the computer. This meant that we couldn’t complete the peer review today. In conclusion, we didn’t get to peer review our partner on Monday or today. Thanks for tuning into my blog!
